#6 Tourist Spots in Iligan City

 Timoga
 Swimming Pool

The definition of a swimming pool is a man-made container filled with water intended for swimming or other water-based recreation. Well, we have swimming pools that serve as one of the tourist spots here in the Philippines.

Some of the swimming pools here in the Philippines are located at Timoga-Buru-un, Iligan City. The source of water of Timoga Springs comes from Lake Lanao in the only Islamic city in the Philippines--Marawi City, Lanao del Sur—which is 37 kilometers away. Lake Lanao waters come from a volcanic source, the lake being the crater of an extinct volcano. These waters are filtered subterraneally in the Timoga, Buru-un area of Iligan, making it one of the richest source of fresh, high pH, alkaline mineral water.

Timoga swimming pools that’s what Iliganons usually call it, has an icy cool feeling when we swim in the pool. It has clean blue clear water used for the pools and it can also help us feel relaxed in mind, body including our emotions.

#5 SUHI

At first, I was confused about the story of the play SUHI because the truth is, I can’t really understand the deep Filipino words that they had used, I have only understood a few of the words based on the actors and actresses action and my knowledge about it. The words that the actors and actresses used on their play has many what you called “symbolic expression/speech” (that’s what I mean about the “DEEP” Tagalog words by the way) that what makes the play more unique and catches everyone’s attention. Speaking of attention, the way the actors and actresses acted their roles in the play was outstanding. If I have the chance to rank their talent of acting, I will have ranked them PERFECT!!! I felt goose bumps running over my body as I saw them acting on stage and felt proud of them. Well, that day was my first time watching a drama play so close. The props were magnificent even the clothing that the actors and actresses were wearing and I was like a person transported on their time, I felt like I was a village woman listening to them when it was time of judging the hilot.

As I was listening and observing the play carefully, I begun to understand the idea what the characters have conveyed to the audience and I think the story begun where the conflict in the play arrived. The plot of the story was also magnificent, well-managed and well-acted. It had highlighted the culture, tradition and has a mix of reality that we experienced now and also our ancestors in the past.

In short, “KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK IPAG!!!”
