#3 Manners

According to the internet, Manner is a way of acting; bearing or behavior and a way of doing something or the way in which a thing is done or happens. It is also the prevailing customs, social conduct, and norms of a specific society, period, or group, especially as the subject of a literary work.
In the story that has been discussed by my classmates entitled "No One Stops to Say "Thank You" Anymore", it's true that people nowadays are not practicing good manners anymore. In my observations that I have seen in our environment are that some of the young people do not respect elders anymore. When I visit my elementary school, Angelico J. Medina Memorial School because my mother works there in a canteen and sometimes I help her if there's no class in IIT, I observed that the children there are naughty and also disrespectful to their teachers and to their parents. But children are children, their minds are very young, they have so much to learn and who knows they will be one of the successful persons in the future.
But the question is, do manners still living in every person's lives?      For me, my answer is a YES because ever since we are little, manners were taught by our parents  like Mano or Mano Po as a sign of respect to our elders, by saying thank you, please and "I'm sorry" to people or friends, even strangers  you've interact with. Even though it fades as the time passes but there are still people who practice good manners. Like when I entered Jollibee the guard greeted me and said "Welcome to Jollibee Maam" and I said "thank you" of course with a smile. See, everyone has manners, they just don't know how to use it or they just don't know it.

Watch your manner of speech if you wish to develop a peaceful state of mind. Start each day by affirming peaceful, contented and happy attitudes and your days will tend to be pleasant and successful. -Norman Vincent Peale

#2 Language Learner

What kind of a language learner am I?
Well, I’m not that really good in learning language but I do sorts of things that can make me understand and learn language. I read different reading materials like magazines, books filled with stories in it, and newspapers. I usually don’t read dictionaries and encyclopedias because it’s a headache. I just read dictionaries when there are assignments in English about vocabulary words finding its meaning and when I see or read some difficult words in a certain story. I also make essays, scripts for a play and stories when I have free time or when I’m inspired by a thing or a happening on that certain day. When I finished making an essay, I usually go to a certain classmate and teacher who is good in language and present my essay to them if there is anything wrong with the grammar I use or the subject I choose for writing the essay. I accept comments or criticisms from my classmates or teachers because it can help improve my skills in learning the language. Studying also helps me become good in using the language.

In short, I’m a good reader and a little bit good in listening. I’m slow in thinking but I can understand and pronounce the language.

PRACTICE is the key of learning a language, that's why slow learners like me have to practice to be good at it.

#1 Me and My Life

Who Am I??? What Am I???
Do You Wanna Know Who I Am?
Well this is how it goes.....
My Name is Cheilvey Rabor Sumimba, 16 years of age. Currently living at Steeltown, Sta, Elena, Iligan City together with my parents and siblings. I was born on July 21, 1997 here in Iligan City at Pala-o City Hospital. I finished my secondary studies at Iligan City National High School SY 2013-2014. In my family, I have 2 sisters, 1 brother and 2 loving parents. Their names are Rucie Mae ( the eldest sister), Ruzshyll (3rd sister), Cirilo Jr. (youngest brother), Ruby (mama) and Cirilo Sr. (papa). And I'm the second daughter of the family.
I'm a shy and simple girl who wants a simple but interesting life. I love to read novels especially when it has a genre of historical romance and also watches historical romance movies like Pride and Prejudice, the Inheritance etc. I appreciate things that are beautiful but simple like sceneries, landscapes, flowers, dresses, accessories, sandals and shoes, etc. Even though I really like dresses, accessories and sandals, I usually wear simple t-shirt, blouses and jeans when I go to school in IIT. My hobbies are singing, dancing, drawing some pictures, and listening to Classical, English, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin and Filipino music. I'm an "otaku" - a Japanese word which means a person who loves anime VERY MUCH!!! I watch animes like Fairy Tail, Howl's Moving Castle, The Blue Exorcist and etc. I was influenced by my bestfriend  in first year high school named Janne Cinco, who is also an otaku... My high school days were so colorful because of anime that it serves as my inspiration in life. So much for that, my mission in life is to become a professional worker in a good company that gives also good salary, to have a simple and happy family in the future and to take care of my parents of today up to when they grow older. I must work hard with positive mind and awareness to fulfill my very own mission in life. With the help of God, anything is possible in life.

Life can be cruel but with hope and hard-work, life can be colorful and meaningful.
